App privacy

Last updated: 8 October 2026

This page explains how the Fidelly app processes your data, whether you are a customer or a business. The fidelly.app website has its own privacy page.

Fidelly is published by SMARTCIRCLE (see the legal notice), the controller of your data. We only collect what is needed to run loyalty cards and loyalty programs, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

If you are a customer

The data we keep

What businesses can see

A business only sees your first name, your number of visits, your rank and the date of your visits at that business. It sees neither your phone number, nor your email address, nor your photo, nor your cards at other businesses. It does not know whether you made its card private or muted it.

It can also keep a note about you (your preferences, for example), visible to it alone. You can ask to see it; it is deleted if you delete its card.

If you are a business

The data we keep

Your customers' data

You see your customers' first name, their number of visits, their rank and the date of their visits at your business. You see neither their phone number, nor their email address, nor their photo, nor their cards at other businesses. This information must only be used for your loyalty program: do not copy it or use it for any other purpose.

Your notes about a customer are visible to you alone. Keep them factual and courteous, and do not write any sensitive data in them (health, religion, opinions…): your customer can ask to see them. They are deleted if the customer deletes their card.

Our service providers

To run the app, we use:

They only use this data to provide this service to us.

Anonymous statistics

We may produce and share anonymous, aggregated statistics about visits to shops (for example, footfall by type of shop or by neighbourhood). They always group a large number of customers and businesses, and never make it possible to identify a customer or a business.

Retention

Data is kept for as long as the account exists. When a customer deletes their account, their profile, cards, visits and messages are deleted. When a business deletes its account, the business, its offers, its messages and its customers' cards at that business (visits, stamps, ranks, notes) are deleted. A copy may remain for a while in our technical backups, until they are renewed.

Your rights

You can access, correct or delete your data at any time:

If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (cnil.fr).
